Dr Ross Allen Carlson, DO, is a license Doctor of Osteopathic medicine and has been in private practice for over twenty years in Encinitas, California in the area of Neuromusculoskeletal and Manipulative medicine. He was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1954. and graduated from CSULB (California State University, Long Beach) with a BA in Mathematics and English in 1978.

Dr Carlson obtained his D.O degree from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. He continued his medical training in Family Medicine residency at Allegheny Regional Hospital and Biological Medicine internship under the mentorship of Dr Harvey Bigelsen. Recently, Dr Carlson completed the Medical Acupuncture course for Physicians at UCLA.

Dr Carlson is also a writer. His soon to be published book entitled, “Getting the Power of Touch” focuses on incorporating the healing power of touch using intention and attention through action. He proposes a new paradigm of healing by integrating the ancient Chinese philosophy of the Tao with the four principles of osteopathic medicine. The book will be made available in most bookstores and online.

Ross is an accomplished musician and obtained his music degree in Jazz and Classical guitar from the Musicians Institute of Technology (MIT) in Hollywood. He studied classical and flamenco guitar with Greg Coleman and Jose Tomas’ during the early 80’s.. MIT allowed Ross to study and play with the nirvana of guitar players and teachers including Joe Pass, Howard Roberts, Joe Diorio, Larry Carlton and Ron Eschete, among many others While in medical school he studied charango and ronrocco daily for two months in Cochabamba, Bolivia during a surgical externship.

Teaming up with Les Martinez in 2005,, they formed the band AJNA, and developed Skrit Music-a combination of ancient Sanskrit songs and music lyrics with World Music Rhythms. ergo-Skrit music was born. His interest lies in the healing vibrations of music and touch-The Harmony and Vibration of Life or The Music of the Cosmos.
